Becoming a House Maid

After graduating High School in the Depression jobs were scarce. Trudy's sister Justine helped her get a job as a house maid for a doctor in the Twin Cities.

Becoming a Nurse

Trudy's brother Al gives her some money to go to into nurse's training. She takes care of her mother during the last three months of her life.

Part of her schooling is paid for by the GI bill and she joins the army and is sent to Taylor Texas.
